About Us
Short Street Productions Ltd was established in 2023 by Mark Rubinstein, Sarah Edwards and Dave McNeilly. We are a producing and general management company, working in the West End and on tour both national and internationally.
Current projects include: TINA – The Tina Turner Musical (Aldwych Theatre and UK & Ireland Tour), Waiting For Godot (Theatre Royal, Haymarket), the forthcoming production of The Great Gatsby – A New Musical (London Coliseum) and a number of mid to large scale projects at various stages of development both regionally in the UK and the West End.
Recent projects (including under Mark Rubinstein Ltd) include: SINATRA – The Musical (Birmingham Rep), Beautiful: The Carole King Musical (UK & Ireland Tour), Be More Chill (The Other Palace), SWEAT (Gielgud Theatre), Company (Gielgud Theatre), La Soirée (ninth Christmas season in London and currently on a ten-year rolling International Tour – 2015 Olivier Award: Best Entertainment), Heisenberg: The Uncertainty Principle (Wyndham’s Theatre), Billy Elliot The Musical (UK and Ireland Tour), Beautiful: The Carole King Musical (Aldwych Theatre – winner of two Olivier Awards 2015), The Miser (Garrick Theatre), The Dresser (Duke of York’s Theatre), Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense (UK and India Tour), Close to You: Bacharach Reimagined (Criterion Theatre), School of Rock (Pre-production, New London Theatre), ONCE the Musical (Phoenix Theatre and Korea), Jeeves and Wooster (Duke of York’s Theatre and National Tour – 2014 Olivier Award: Best New Comedy), the UK tour of War Horse on behalf of the National Theatre, A Doll’s House (Duke of York’s Theatre and BAM, New York), Punchdrunk’s The Drowned Man: A Hollywood Fable (Temple Studios, Paddington) and the original West End transfers of the National Theatre’s The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.
Mark Rubinstein was the President of the Society of London Theatre from 2011 to 2014 and Vice President from 2014 to 2017.
